Aims and Objectives

Aims

  • To provide high-quality musical theatre and drama for students, members of the medical profession and the general public at a minimal cost to them
  • To involve medical, nursing and dental students, doctors and other healthcare professionals at all stages in their career in producing theatre; fostering a spirit of cooperation and teamwork
  • To enhance the relationship between the public and the medical profession by showcasing the talent, dedication and good humour of its present and future members
  • To promote the Arts in Medicine, and to draw attention to the ways in which the arts and the medical profession can work together
  • To celebrate the opening of the new Medical School Building
  • To have lots of fun doing the above!

Objectives

  • To involve as many students and healthcare professinals as possible in the staging of our show
  • To balance income with expenditure, such that the company does not sustain a financial loss
  • To seek sponsorship as the main form of income for the company
  • To publicise our show, and promote awareness of our aims
  • To support, where possible, local charities and Arts in Medicine groups in our work
