Synopsis

This cult musical is set far in the future when the eco-police have banned plastic and when Disco has ceased to be a form of music having instead acheived a religious status. On a distant backwater planet the alluring and charismatic Saucy Jack presides over his seedy cabaret club. Enter it and you will find it full of colourful acts and even more colourful characters such as weirdo bar-fly Dr. von Whackoff, pan-galactic plastic smuggler Chesty Prospects, down-trodden waitress Booby Shevalle, talented house saxophonist Sammy Sax and cheesy barman Mitch Maypole. Despite the party atmosphere all is not well at Saucy Jack's: danger lurks in every corner as the cabaret acts are being picked off one by one by a relentless serial killer.

As the show begins a promising entertainer and torch-song singer becomes the latest victim of the Slingback Killer, with the killer's trademark shoe plunged heel-first into her chest. Amidst this gloom and fear, the staff and regulars of the club share their dreams and secrets, while as the evil shadow of the Slingback Killer draws ever nearer, they have only one source of hope - the Space Vixens - interstellar, super-fashion crime fighters who draw their energy from the Power of Disco! Will they arrive in time with their explosive house anthem "Glitter Boots Saved My Life" and solve the mystery?
